
On the morning of June 26, 2025, the Conference on Building High-End Talents for Chinese Enterprises Going Global themed “Breaking Talent Bottleneck and Empowering Global Strategies” (the “Conference”) was held at Lingang Xinchen International Conference Center.
At the Conference, Dishui Lake Advanced Finance Institute, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE-DAFI) joined hands with top colleges and universities and institutions in the industry including Guanghua School of Management, Peking University; Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Rennes School of Business (France), Yingke Law Firm; and Keystone Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., etc., to launch the “First Overseas High-End Talent Training Program of Lingang Special Area”.
In the afternoon, four talent training-related public lectures that focused on pain points of Chinese enterprises going global were given simultaneously. Among them, SUFE-DAFI, based on its frontier experience in integrating financial innovation and the real economy and in-depth insights into the pain points of enterprise globalization, launched the public lecture titled “Breakthrough Camp for Enterprises Going Global: Building Key Execution Capabilities for Going Global and Mastering Decision-making Recipes in Half a Day” to enhance the participating enterprises’ knowledge.

On the morning of June 26, 2025, the Conference on Building High-End Talents for Chinese Enterprises Going Global themed “Breaking Talent Bottleneck and Empowering Global Strategies” (the “Conference”) was held at Lingang Xinchen International Conference Center. Under the core concept of “Going Global from the Special Area, Achieving Win-win with the World", the Conference focused on solving the bottleneck of Chinese enterprises in terms of overseas talents, and systematically provided end-to-end solutions related to overseas high-end talents, thus attracting over 500 participants from governments, investment institutions, trade promotion agencies, enterprises going global, top universities across China, as well as domestic and foreign professional overseas service institutions.

At the Conference, the Lingang Special Area Overseas Talent Training Base, which was located in the Foreign Center Building of Dishui Lake Financial Bay in Lingang Special Area, was officially launched. It will serve as a hub for incubating high-level interdisciplinary overseas talents with a deep understanding of the global industry environment.

At the Conference, the Lingang Special Area Overseas Talent Partner Alliance(the “Alliance”) was jointly established by the Going Global Comprehensive Service Platform of Lingang Special Area (the “Platform”) and 20 renowned universities and service institutions. The Alliance will focus on integration of industry-academia-research resources and ecosystem co-building, so as to achieve precise matching between international talent supply and enterprises' demand for going global.

Especially, top colleges universities and industry institutions including Guanghua School of Management, Peking University; Dishui Lake Advanced Finance Institute, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE-DAFI), Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Rennes School of Business (France); Yingke Law Firm; and Keystone Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. jointly launched the “First Overseas High-End Talent Training Program of Lingang Special Area” (the “Program”). Under the Program, the authoritative courses covering all dimensions such as global strategy, capital layout, going global with technology, and foreign-related law will be taught by academicians, deans, and industry experts, so that the Program can provide systematic knowledge systems and practical guidance from strategic planning to implementation for enterprises going global, so as to comprehensively support Chinese enterprises in cultivating excellent talents with international vision and practical capabilities for cross-border development, thus assisting them in improving global competitiveness and exploring new markets. In the future, the Platform will continue to deepen the strategic cooperation with top domestic and foreign colleges and universities and professional service institutions, and will launch a series of customized overseas training courses targeting the pain points of enterprises going global in different industries and in development stages, thus accurately matching enterprises’ demand and assisting Chinese enterprises in achieving their global layout efficiently.
Professor YAO Yang, a renowned economist and Boya Distinguished Professor of Peking University, delivered a keynote speech titled “International Talent Strategy for Chinese Enterprises Going Global”. During the roundtable discussion, the experts exchanged their insights on the topic “Global Mindset and Local Execution: What Qualities Are Necessary for Leader of Successful Enterprises Going Global?”

In the afternoon on the same day, four talent training-related public lectures that focused on pain points of Chinese enterprises going global were given simultaneously. SUFE-DAFI, Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, Shanghai Foreign Service (Group) Co., Ltd., and the Asia-Pacific International Arbitration Center, together with the Lingang Industry-education Integration Promotion Center, offered in-depth shared insights on core concerns of enterprises, i.e. decision-making recipe for going global, macroeconomic trends, global employee management, and emerging opportunities in the Gulf region, thus providing participating enterprises with end-to-end knowledge from strategic layout to tactical execution.
The Conference marked a systematic breakthrough in Lingang Special Area's efforts to develop overseas talents. In the future, Lingang Special Area will continue to deepen its institutional innovation, optimize its pro-business environment, and offer continuous access to global resources in key links of enterprises going global (e.g. investment and financing) and in new quality productive forces (e.g. digital and cultural overseas expansion), and facilitate the brand of Special Area Going Global (SAGG) to become a core driver for Chinese enterprises to participate in international competition, thus supporting long-term global development of Chinese enterprises.

Leaderships including ZHAO Yihuai, Member of the Party Working Committee and Full-time Deputy Director of theLingang Special Area Administrative Committee, LUO Zhisong, Chief Economist of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, GU Chunhua, Vice President of Lingang Group, ZHONG Ruyu , Chief International Cooperation Officer of Lingang Special Area, as well as representatives from relevant provincial and municipal government departments, relevant departments of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, relevant offices of the Lingang Special Area Administrative Committee, domestic and foreign official investment promotion agencies and chambers of commerce, enterprises going global, and professional service institutions, attended the Conference.
